A historic agency founded in 1958
For more than six decades we have guided thousands of families and professionals through the purchase, sale and rental of their properties in Barcelona and the Maresme.

Our history
- 1958
Founding
Josep Mª Mónico Canal, a property broker, founds Finques Mónico. In the early years the work was entirely finding properties to buy and later sell.
- 1977
Second generation
His children María Mercè and Miquel Mónico Edo join the firm. Miquel is a property administrator, real estate agent and lawyer.
- 2008
International vision
Lluís Barrio Mónico, one of Josep Mª Mónico's grandchildren, knew from a young age that he wanted to continue the business his grandfather had built. His arrival opened the firm to foreign markets. After a long period living in Newcastle (England), he improved his English and learned a market that brought investors to Barcelona.
